Throwing the old 68 up on the market. Currently has a 440, .30 over big block with Edelbrock aluminum heads and a lightened Weiand duel 4 barrel tunnel ram intake with Edelbrock 600 cfm carbs on top (I do have the linkage and butterflies for the shotgun scoop). The transmission is a 727 torquflite with a 3000 stall TCI converter and a Chetah reverse pattern manual shift valve body. The rear is a 8 3/4 with 4.56 gears and a posi track locker. Interior is basically stock other than the column mounted tachometer and the B&M quicksilver shifter on the floor. This is a one respray car that the paint is starting to show it’s age (was resprayed in the early 90’s and is the factory color). The body currently has 83,302 original miles on it, from the late 70’s to early 90’s it was on the drag strip running 1/8 and 1/4 mile tracks. The engine and transmission was pulled and rebuilt in 2004 and has been driven less than 500 miles since putting the car back together. I do have the original 383 block for the car in storage that will go with it. It has been in the family since the late 70’s and in my possession the past 2 1/2 years (all in the garage), prior to my possession it sat for around a year as my stepdad got ill amd didn’t mess with the car at all. I have only started this car one time since owning it, and I’d rather see someone enjoy it more than me looking at it in the garage. I’m listing it high at $49,000 yes there’s room to negotiate but I will not talk price over the internet, if you’re serious send a message and I’ll give you my number and address to come look at the car and we’ll talk price in person.
